All that is required when describing what you need to get started is to complete the form on the left, this will enable costs to be calculated according to what is needed in your Portfolio to complete your Assessment process to certification.

 

Cost savings are because you are putting the information in the Portfolio yourself, instead of paying an Assessor to do it, this does not affect the integrity of the award as the Assessment Team are on hand to oversee and advise accordingly.

As part of this method of Assessment a Profile is drawn up of your work background, also an induction into your Assessment is carried out in the normal manner ensuring everything is expained and understood, Registration is also carried out in this time and added to the Assessment Induction records and stored online for use at a later date.

The outcome of undertaking an NVQ Assessment this way is identical to other methods, you can use Work Based Recorders who are your work collegues to record your work activites, photos, videos and witness testimonies singed by your Supervisor, your Job Knowlege Questions are also answered by you, completed and submitted by you too, all this information will be added by you on the Templates supplied, it may be an advantage to have a small amount of IT knowledge to add images to a Word document.

As soon as you have submitted all your own information a declaration will be signed by you to state it is your own work, the completed Portfolio will then be Assessed by the Assessment Team to go over everything you have added to make sure everything is Valid, Authentic, Reliable and Current, the IQA team will verify and when all completed will apply for Certification for you.
