All about the NVQ
Process:
There are more than
one reasons to achieve the required level of a National
Vocational Qualification, the main reason is to upgrade
the card holders "proof of skills card" this can be
either the CSCS, NPORS, or CPCS in the main, this is
where then RED2BLUE
gets its name, to do this the Candidates Assessment will
be conducted in accordance with the Standards of the
qualification as laid out and in compliance with Ofqual
qualification number.
The Assessor will ensure the
Candidate can complete the Assessment by making a
profile of the Candidate, following confirmation of this
in the indication the Assessor will hand the Candidate a
Portfolio for the work evidence records, the induction
and Assessment are carried out in the Candidates
workplace and mapped against the standards associated
with their job role, the Assessor will visit the
Candidate several times and record the event,
collect workplace work evidence as laid out the in
Assessment Plan, and conduct a visual observation
together with a professional discussion which is
recorded by the Assessor, when complete and verified by
the centres Internal Quality Advisor a claim will be
made for certification, confirmation of certification is
the first step into the upgrade process, which is
followed by the issue of a certificate to be used as
proof of Achievement to upgrade their skills card.
The Candidate's role's and responsibilities are to:
Provide us as an NVQ centre
with your personal details so you can be registered with
the awarding body, participate in an initial assessment
and induction, agree a personal assessment plan with
your assessor we will assign to you dependent upon your
required qualification, collect and organise your
evidence as agreed in your assessment plan, attend
regular meetings with your assessor to discuss your
progress and to amend your plan when required, meet with
other work colleagues or staff to talk about your
qualification and work evidence collection, also make
sure you understand and comply with health and safety
law and regulations as you will be required to answer
some questions on this and other subjects.
We usually ask you to agree
and sign a learning contract with us to show how you
will be assessed for your qualification.
Your Learner registration
number will be given when you have enrolled, with
registration number on all the paperwork you will be
given by electronic means for easy reference, the main
elements of the Assessment process are shown below, the
current activities are also shown.
