Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)
The Assessor suite of qualifications provides nationally recognised qualifications for candidates whose role involves assessing competence based units or qualifications, options are:
• Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
• Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
• Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
The awarding organisation for this qualification is regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) and the Council for the Curriculum Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) Regulation.
The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) includes those qualifications regulated by Ofqual and CCEA Regulation.
These qualifications have been accredited onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
Candidates who achieve either of the Level 3 Awards may progress to the Level 3 Certificate which provides a progression route to discipline related Level 4 qualifications such as Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.
These qualifications are aimed at Assessors in a variety of contexts, those assessing in the workplace and those assessing in alternative environments such as workshops, classrooms and other training environments. Each qualification includes a unit that covers all the essential knowledge and understanding that assessors need, plus one or more units that describe competent practice. This offers flexibility and a greater potential to meet the needs of assessors working in different environments.
Aims:
• To assess the candidate assessor’s knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices that underpin assessment.
• To assess the candidate assessor’s performance in assessing occupational competence in an individual’s work environment (Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment).
• To assess the candidate assessor’s performance in assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace – for example workshops, classrooms or other training environments (Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement)
The Total Qualification Time is around 90 Hours to achieve this qualification whilst undertaking your normal everyday work tasks, also with the aid of the easy to use online Portfolio, Spending assessment time in your workplace with your Learners, and without having to take time off work sitting in a Classroom, Although there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, you will be required to be occupational competent in your own field of Assessment.
The Assessor who gets assigned to this qualification will help and guide you through the Assessment process from start to finish,
Who will also work with you to follow the Assessment Plans and answer any questions you may have with regards to what workplace evidence to collect, Progress reports are always available to show how well you are doing in working within your timescales and qualification times,
To achieve this Full qualification all mandatory units must be achieved,

Unit 3: Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding (Mandatory Unit)

Costs breakdown are as follows : There will be 3 payments spread over the Assessment stages as shown below:

Stage 1.

Registration fee for this Qualifications is £50.00 No VAT

e-portfolio set up and starter pack with the user name and qualification: £36.00 including VAT

Assessment plan and Induction to the Assessment for user to proceed with the Qualification: £132.33 inc VAT

Total set up and Assessment Induction cost & Deposit: £218.33 payable in advance by an invoice paid by Bank Transfer.which is the quickest method.

Stage 2

Prior to marking the Job Knowledge Questions an invoice will be raised for £218.34 including VAT which must be paid and cleared before the answers are marked and scored

Stage 3

Prior to completion of the Assessment as directed by your Assessor a final invoice will be raised for £218.33

Following full payment of the invoice the Assessment will be completed and forwarded to the Verification team for Certification approval, upon completion and sign off you will receive:

Full NVQ Certificate of achievement with completed units.

Total all in cost VAT inclusive, Full NVQ Certificate: £655.00

Payment in full is available if required by requesting an invoice.

On completion of your CAVA qualification there is an option to use our centre to process your Learners through as an independent Assessor if not attached to an Assessment

Centre already.
