Candidates that require extra training will be entered
into a different programme with the time scale being greater, to allow
for the training element to be undertaken, and to work alongside the
assessment process collecting work evidence and experience which will
be over a much longer period of time.
Candidates with prior experience, or CPCS Trained operator card
holders are usually completed after 10 weeks from the registration
date, application for CPCS competence cards are also included in this
package providing the correct number of operating hours have been
recorded and validated in the candidates log book record, Companies
within scope of the CITB and who pay a levy can also claim a grant for
this qualification in accordance to the scheme rules.
The Outcome
Following a successful assessment process where all the required
workplace evidence has been collected, the candidate will be awarded a
certificate of unit credit for awarded units applicable to their trade
or profession, a full NVQ certificate for the completed assessment
activity will also be awarded providing that ten weeks has passed
since the candidates registration date, this is a City & Guilds CITB
Qualification recognised in all industry areas.
