CSCS was set up to help the
construction industry to improve quality and help reduce
accidents on site, CSCS cards are demanded upon entry to the
worksite as proof of occupational competence by: contractors,
public and private clients as well as others. They cover many
occupations so whatever you do in construction there will be a
card that is suitable for your activity, without this card it
is impossible for anyone to be allowed on site to work.
To Attain the CSCS card
passing the ConstructionSkills Health & Safety test is
mandatory, which sets the standard for the industry. Taken
by over 500,000 people every year, it ensures that everyone
working in construction has a minimum level of health and
safety awareness. The test is under continuous review to
keep it inline with current legislation and ensure it meets
industry requirements.
